Fenlow (“Fenlow,” “we,” “us”) helps you find gifts for the people in your life. This policy explains what information we collect when you use fenlow.co (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
You can use the Fenlow gift finder without creating an account or giving us any personal information. The choices you make while using it — who you're shopping for, their interests, occasion, and budget — stay in your browser for that session and are sent to our server only to generate your recommendations.
We also automatically collect limited technical information, including:
- Basic usage events (e.g. which step of the gift finder you reached, which recommendation you clicked) so we can tell whether the product is working and where people get stuck.
- Standard server and hosting logs (such as IP address, browser type, and device information), collected by our hosting provider for security and performance, not by us directly.
If you contact us directly (for example, by email), we'll have whatever information you choose to include in that message.
How we use information
- To generate gift recommendations during your session.
- To understand how people use the Site and improve it.
- To respond to questions or requests you send us.
- To keep the Site secure and working reliably.
We do not sell your personal information.
Affiliate links and third-party sites
Fenlow participates in affiliate marketing programs, including through Awin and individual retailer programs. This means some links on the Site are affiliate links: if you click one and make a purchase, Fenlow may earn a commission from the retailer, at no additional cost to you.
When you click through to a retailer, you leave fenlow.co and become subject to that retailer's own privacy policy and terms. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, how third-party sites handle your information.
Cookies and similar technology
The Site may use your browser's local storage to remember basic preferences during your visit. We don't currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy.
Data retention and security
We keep the information described above only as long as needed for the purposes explained here. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Fenlow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
Because the gift finder doesn't require an account, there's generally no stored profile to access or delete. If you've contacted us directly and want us to remove that correspondence, email us and we'll take care of it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above.
